Elimination & Detoxification

* SPOKEN WORD *
True best friends share absolutely everything with each other. My very first bestie was no different. We met as kindergarden was transitioning into first grade and were inseparable during our elementary years.
My better half, could have been very wealthy at such a young age, had we realized the entire world could've benefited from her elimination instructions. Fast-forwarding to March 2020, it was reported that approximately 63 million individuals worldwide have difficultly using the restroom. Ayurvedic Medicine, defines a healthy elimination as one that occurs at least twice per day. Most individuals around the globe don't even experience a good bowel movement daily.
In elementary school, my sidekick taught me how to squat while balancing on the toilet seat as she reported better success using the restroom in this fashion. I soon tested her ways; agreed to her findings; and began to share her bathroom routine with those who expressed constipation complaints with me!
Interestingly enough, my very first exposure to the squatty potty was also with my childhood best friend! We were taking a bathroom break in downtown Columbus, Ohio, while enjoying ComFest (Community Festival) at Goodale Park! Her brother-in-law lived in the area and invited us over for an intermission! His guest restroom was nicely equipped with an official Squatty Potty! Honestly, I didn't use the support item at the time but I was surely intrigued!
December 2020, while staying with and caring for ill family, I had the pleasure of using a Squatty Potty equivalent for 31 consecutive days. When I finally returned home, I found myself terribly missing the bathroom support item that I now consider essential in my minimalist way of life!
Honestly, you don't need an official "Squatty Potty" but that keyword search on Amazon will leave you with countless options to consider! Using a support item like the Squatty Potty allows us to use the restroom in a similar position as our ancestors. Flush toilets didn't become widespread until 1851 and prior to that date, holes in the ground were common locations to squat when using the restroom. In mirroring the bathroom position of our ancestors we're also respecting the anatomy of our digestive system. The video below shows this reality in a very comical production! Enjoy the gift of laughter!
My new setup! I'm not including the hyperlink to purchase as I don't particularly love this exact model enough to share. At the same time, I also don't desire to live without my recent Amazon purchase! If you're short on cash currently, yoga blocks or stacks of books under your feet will do the trick!
Wishing you two effortless bowel movements daily for optimal detoxification!
