Must Reads for 2020!

Updated: Jan 28

* SPOKEN WORD added 12.15.21 *

My favorite little dude, Max, recently changed schools and received a new assignment; to read 30 minutes each day for pleasure.

Historically speaking, I've always been a good reader professionally. Though, rarely have I read 100% for personal pleasure. Now they say, if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. I truly love the profession I have created for myself and thus experience a great amount of joy reading professionally.

When I became aware of Max's assignment, I noticed sensations of expectations filling my being. These sensations surely weirded me out as I should have little to no expectations for Max. In an effort to evaluate my feelings I turned the mirror on myself. I came to the realization that I had wished someone would have had these pleasurable reading expectations for myself, when I was Max's age. More than anything I wished I would have been smart enough to have these expectations for myself. What an amazing habit that would have been to develop.

These days I view reading as one beautiful avenue for meditation. Escaping our reality to submerge ourselves in the dream world of a fabulous author. In honor of my inner child and little Max, my 2020 new year's resolution is to read for pleasure; at least 30 minutes each day. A very special thank you to Max's parents for trusting me to help out in their time of need. It was truly my pleasure to spend solo time with Max and learn of his reading assignment. This evening with Max gave birth to my favorite 2020 resolution and resulted in the intake of beautiful books during late 2019, which I desire to share with you here!

Namaste to Teal Swan for her beautiful work of art on the topic of manifesting! Don't miss out on her words of wisdom...rent or purchase her book! If you choose to purchase, when you're finished with the read, minimize the book by re-gifting it to another in need!

One of my favorite reads in 2019! I hope it becomes one of your favorites in 2020! Surely, an amazing tool for our toolboxes!

Poetry, at its finest, providing timeless guidance!

Stunningly translated by Stephen Mitchell!

A quick, profound, and earth shattering read!

Just a taste for your viewing pleasure, quoted direct from text...

Knowing others is intelligence;

knowing yourself is true wisdom.

Mastering others is strength;

mastering yourself is true power.

If you realise that you have enough,

you are truly rich...

What is rooted is easy to nourish.

What is recent is easy to correct.

What is brittle is easy to break.

What is small is easy to scatter.

Prevent trouble before it arises.

Put things in order before they exist.

The giant pine tree

grows from a tiny sprout.

The journey of a thousand miles

starts from beneath your feet.

Rushing into action, you fail.

Trying to grasp things, you lose them.

Forcing a project to completion,

you ruin what was almost ripe.

Therefore the Master takes action

by letting things take their course.

He remains as calm

at the end as at the beginning.

He has nothing,

thus has nothing to lose.

What he desires is non-desire;

what he learns is to unlearn.

He simply reminds people

of who they have always been.

He cares about nothing but the Tao.

Thus he can care for all things.

If you realise that all things change,

there is nothing you will try to hold on to.

If you aren't afraid of dying,

there is nothing you can't achieve...

Thursday, January 30th, 2020 | Blog Post Update

I was raised Catholic and there was a presence of Judaism in my life when my mother converted for marriage but I vividly remember spending countless nights laying awake wondering about the answers to my numerous questions...

-What is the purpose to life?

-How will it feel to die?

-Is there an afterlife? Heaven? Hell?

-What will I see and feel right after death?

-Where will my soul go when I die?

-How much time do I have on Earth?

-Will I ever be with those I love most again?

-When I'm dead, will I ever be able to connect with and comfort the living?

-Is reincarnation possible?

-Are there different maturity levels of souls? Noobs? Intermediate? Advanced souls?

-What maturity level am I?

-What happens to disturbed souls?

-Who or what created Earth and the infinite space that surrounds our planet?

-Why am I on Earth? Why are we on Earth?

-Do I have a spiritual guide(s)? A gardian angle(s)?

-If soulmates exist, when will I recognize mine on Earth?

As time passed, I simply became content with the unknown to guarantee a better nights rest and peace within my mind. Once I started studying and practicing meditation regularly the answers to my questions were whispered into my ears during deep flow states.

The answer to my soulmate question was actually yelled into my ears. This experience brought me to an almost uncontrollable state of laughter as I figured my guide assumed at any other volume I simply would not listen. I was well aware of the answer to this question but had been intentionally moving in a different direction for an estimated 1,248 days. The most exhausting thing I've ever done was to move in such opposition to the natural current in my life. I know this very loud message was a plead in hopes that I would once and for all stop swimming upstream. I did listen; I stopped swimming. These days, I just simply float, allowing the current to take me where I am meant to be and I've never felt better.

Even though I've been provided wonderful answers during meditation, I have greatly appreciated a second opinion provided by Dr. Michael Newton. As a certified Master Hypnotherapist, he offers a fresh perspective through his findings during 29 reported Case Studies. His clients under hypnotherapy provide answers to these profound universal questions and their expressions, offered verbatim within the text, are mind-blowing!

This book is surely in my top 5 best books I've ever read! If you have unanswered questions or also appreciate a fresh perspective or an additional opinion, don't miss out on Journey of Souls, Case Studies of Life Between Lives by Michael Newton, PH.D.

May 2020 be your best year yet, a year of true enlightenment!
