Quick, Easy, & Delicious

Updated: Jan 28, 2022

* SPOKEN WORD *

Personal Chef turned blogger / vlogger! One of my favorite creations is now yours!

Sometimes we desire a nutritious home cooked meal but have little to no energy to be creative in the kitchen. This recipe will help you feel securely fastened to your wellness wagon with no fear of falling off! The simplicity to follow ensures you're not chained to the kitchen and can rather rest and restore you energy when you need it most!

(Step 1) Gather Essentials! Organic ingredients if possible, at least NON-GMO Project Verified!

-Quinoa

-Canned Tuna

-Creamy Cashew Carrot Ginger Soup by Pacific Foods

(Step 2) Evaluate your quinoa packaging and cook per instructions. *Some quinoa needs to be rinsed thoroughly. I always purchase varieties that have been pre-washed for simplicity! It's worth taking the time at the grocery to read food labels to save yourself time in the kitchen later! *If your quinoa says rinse, please follow instructions to remove the natural coating, which can taste bitter and soapy. You can make a single serving or cook in bulk to feed your family or guarantee leftovers!

Using the quinoa variety pictured above, I mixed 1 cup of purified water + 1/2 cup of quinoa. I allowed the mixture to reach a boil and then turned the heat down between medium and low. A timer was set for 15 minutes and I stirred quinoa occasionally. *Jump ahead! Complete Step 3 while quinoa is cooking!

(Step 3) Add 1 can of tuna per person to their serving bowl or glass storage container. *Make sure you break up the tuna very well!

(Step 4) Place 1/2 cup of cooked quinoa in each individual bowl or glass storage container. *I specified glass twice as hot foods and beverages should never come in contact with plastic to ensure superior health. You're going to need the saucepan again! No sense in dirtying another!

(Step 5) Bring 1.5 cups of soup per person to a boil then add the 1.5 cups of hot soup to their tuna quinoa mixture and combine!

(Step 6) Enjoy!

To provide an estimated 56 grams of carbohydrates and 34 grams of protein per person!

*Did this expression add value to your life? Please consider donating to support in buying a symbolic cup of coffee! Thank you in advance for your contribution & generosity!
