Class Descriptions:

 

Chair Yoga

A unique style of yoga that adapts positions and poses through creative use of a chair. The chair replaces the yoga mat and becomes an extension of the body. Participants are able to warm up the body safely with more support and stability. Poses are done seated on the chair or the chair can be used for support during standing poses. Chair yoga is suitable for all ages, fitness levels, and physical conditions.

Guided Meditation

Join me to experience Guided Breathwork & Visualization Meditation to begin releasing the tension, pain, and disease residing within the mind. You will be lead to form relaxing mental images while incorporating your senses. The feeling of peace and balance that meditation provides benefits our emotional well-being and our overall health. The blessings continue after meditation concludes. Some research suggests that meditation may help the following conditions: insomnia, anxiety disorders, binge eating, depression, fatigue, high blood pressure, physical and emotional pain, substance abuse, asthma, heart disease, cancer, and allergies.

Kids Yoga with Maggie Poppins

Fun yoga poses, storytelling, singing, games, breathwork, mindfulness, and meditation for kids! Adults that are excited to nurture their inner child are welcome to participate with their kid(s)!

Restorative Yoga (Gentle Yoga)

Devoted to deep rest. Floor poses are held passively with the help of yoga props - bolsters, blankets, straps, and blocks. Comfort is key, as is active relaxation. Expect a long classic relaxation pose devoted to sinking into the earth to help the body and mind slow down and truly experience what it means to rest. Aromatherapy will be offered to enhance relaxation. 

Special Needs Yoga

Gentle joint movements paired perfectly with a yogic massage. Profound energy points will be addressed to release tension, ease pain, and to increase the flow of energy within the body. Hands-on assistance will be provided to those in need.  

Turtle Flow Yoga (Slow Flow | Hatha Yoga)

Great for beginners to advanced individuals!

Experience completeness of your practice by integrating breath and movement to create a powerful and stabilizing, yet delicate meditative flow. The measured pace supports quality of breath, postural alignment, and awareness of the body and mind.

Vinyasa Yoga (Ashtanga Yoga)

Designed with a strong focus on the dynamic connection of movement with the breath. Vinyasa will cultivate heat in the body by incorporating creative sequences involving sun salutations.

Yin Yoga (The Deepest Stretch)

Enjoy a quiet, intimate practice with me. Each posture will be held for three to five minutes to experience the deepest stretch of our fascia, connective tissues. Undesirable tension gets stored in our fascia and presents as pain and disease within the body. During Yin we will begin the process of relaxing and releasing this tension, pain, and thus disease. Experience deep relaxation at the conclusion of our practice together. Yin yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga.

Yog Nidra Proper

Ancient Indian teachings. Progressive stages of relaxation will be presented to draw forth emptiness through yoga. Yog Nidra Proper is a state of awakening in sleep and she is also a goddess. Initiate your route to the Yog Nidra Goddess today! Experience complete peace, stillness, silence, and contentment through a dedicated Yog Nidra practice! This is your route to your true self! What are you waiting for? 

Yoga Sexercises

Enjoy a deep stretch of the back, the hips, the legs, and the face. Each pose will be held for at least one-minute in duration to target the connective tissues of the body, to improve range of motion and flexibility. Prior to classic relaxation pose, the most powerful meditation I've experienced thus far will be offered. Revolutionizing sex eduction, integrating heart & soul!

Yogic Massage (as Ayurvedic & Chinese Medicine)

Relish in a guided and self-directed full body massage. A concentrated experience can be provided to problem areas. To increase the energy flow within the body, we will be addressing profound energy points to release tension and thus pain. Individuals report sensations of peace and relaxation through Yogic Massage, which can be a standalone offering or infused into another yogic class. 

Zen Yoga (Moving Meditation)

Great for beginners to advanced individuals!

This offering is a fusion of standing yoga poses, tai chi, and qigong to build strength, power, immunity, and balance within the body. Over time, with dedication to practice, one is likely to physically notice an increase in energy flow within their being.
